I agree. I'm admitting that Rudy's investigation is probably purely political. It's a legal and reasonable activity when done in an election cycle. Both sides do it. There's nothing that says this kind of investigation isn't legitimate unless the FBI does. In fact, many FBI investigations come into play after a citizen brings something up.

As for the GAO ruling, the Federalist (I think) printed a response to the ruling by laying out 7 times the GAO ruled that something Obama did was illegal. The whole piece left me thinking that the word 'illegal' is perhaps misleading when it's actually a reprimand that takes place. I'm all for it, though, as governance is so complex that lines can be innocently crossed but the offender still needs to know about it.
