Not exactly. He said:

Assume Putin decides to ‘retake’ Alaska, the way he ‘retook’ Crimea. Assume further that a president allows him to do it, because he believed that Russia has a legitimate claim to ‘its’ original territory… That would be terrible, but would it be impeachable? Not under the text of the Constitution.”

Dershowitz, as the leading expert on constitutional law in the US, makes this comment on the basis that the decision is, by the highest law in the land, the president's decision.

It is no more absurd than your support for Obama's single handed decision to give Iran nuclear weapons.

A subsequent president would further be within his right to reverse the decision on Alaska, like Trump reversed the decision on Iran.

You seem to consistently expect the country is run, not under the Rule of Law, but based upon the whims of Congress and the president, depending on where the leftists have the most control at a point in time. It doesn’t work like that.

I appreciate your desire for a convenient, simplistic approach, but it is not what the Framers ascertained would lead to the best government. That is what we go by.
