We can forget about Godwin's Law when comparing Trump's progress in subverting our Constitution and Democratic Republic (/Western Democracy/Liberal Democracy) into a fascist state, to that of the Third Reich or Mussolini's Italy.
Under the corruption of the Senate by hyper-partisan Republicans, and the appointment of a lapdog to head the Justice Department, along with a Cabinet full of corrupt officials, an entire devoted propaganda network of media outlets, and a VIce President colluding in the takeover, we are very nearly at the point that Germany was in 1933. Further evidence of this includes Trump's rallies, a spate of mass killers apparently inspired by White Nationalism, and the gatherings we've seen at Charlottesville and now Richmond.
Four fundamental facts:
1. Trump is a career criminal;
2. He is trying to overthrow the Constitution and establish a family dictatorship;
3. The Republican Party is 100 percent on board with this agenda;
4. The main beneficiary of these developments is Russia, which will welcome the self-destruction of the one nation that stands in the way of her Great Power ambitions.
It's tragically fascinating to witness the clever Machiavellian maneuvering of US politicians by Putin's dictactorship. And it's a very clear demonstration that there's nothing exceptional about our country except it's Constitution and traditions. Both of the latter are victims of the the neo-Republicans.
God help us....... King George III was required, under a constitutional monarchy, to obey Parliament. Now, Trump claims powers that the king could not claim. This is what comes of people telling a psychopath that he is chosen by god and has absolute power. |
