I was at a get together this week with an acquaintance from NYC. He runs a hedge fund and as managed to prosper and survive. I don't get to see him in person much; only when he takes his Hawaii vacation.

We always get on politics, the Fed etc.

Two items of note:

Trump being a NY boy...they were surprised he made President considering no one in the financial world of NYC would back him in a deal. His reputation as a scammer being well known.

conversely: He doesn't know anyone on Wall St. that gives a rip about impeachment. Consensus is that it's all a D show.

My take: The US machine marches on no matter who is President.
