Saw a pharmacist client yesterday. He indicated an increase in new patients ( based on increase in prescriptions at his pharmacy, an unscientific statistic) from Oxford and decrease in prescriptions from Aetna patients. This was a crude determination at one pharmacy on long island. The pharmacist also metioned that a patient did not have palstic card but he presented an enrollment number given by Oxford. The pharmacist could punch in the number in his computer and was comfortable in filling the prescription. In a similar situation six months ago the pharmacist would have asked for payment from the patient. This leads me to believe that Oxford is working reasonably hard in putting its house in order.

I cannot say that Oxford stock will reverse its course tomorrow but talks of its death are premature.
