Let's say I worked day and night on a one-in-a-lifetime chance to influence government policy revolving around high tech and social media.
I do my best to take a highly complex issue and boil it down to a seven page report, complete with graphs and easy-to-follow summaries for a man who has very little time to waste.
Then I spend even more hours reducing that to a few pages at most because I was told that even seven pages would be a bit much for the president. I say "OK" and lose sleep trying to do just that.
I'm finally in the meeting with the president, and he spends not even a few minutes looking over the material that I created. He doesn't even listen or seem interested at all with what I have to say. But then he gets a call from Chuck Schumer and seems so energized after speaking with him. And he hurries off to go watch FOXNews, because THAT'S the reason why he has oh-so-little time to waste.
I'm left thinking, "Wow, this guy is a man-child. How the fuck did he become president of the United States?"
The thing is, that actually happened. Not to me, but to people I know. And they confirm all of the reports about the way Trump is personally and why so many people in Washington find it hard to work with him.
What do you say to that? You want to keep hurling personal insults at me because I won't kiss Trump's ass? You want to make assumptions about how many large projects I've worked on and question my judge in leadership and management?
Sorry, but you too would be a waste of time to me. Go ahead and prosecute me for libel, if you truly believe that and have any courage of conviction whatsoever.
