[chips]

Why would LU talk to ADI to get DMT? Is this a possible dsp/with another chip? If things fell out with TI/Amtx, then wouldn't Awre be the place to go?

Good question. I was told ADI, so perhaps this was in reference to an interim arrangement. In other words, if LU wanted to have a product out sooner than their own chips would allow. I'll try to dig up more at the show. I see your logic, though. Given LU does chips, you'd think it was the line codes they'd be after.

There's a lot of sleight of hand in the industry. For example, I know for a fact LU is installing ASND's DSL in ISPs under their own label. And they certainly don't put an "Ascend Inside" label on it.

In this industry, every day is Halloween.
