Now layer onto that working with teens who start with no to little knowledge of sailing and then do the maintenance, sailing and the planning for several day trips away from land. Sailing maneuvers on a 35' open ocean racer require coordinated team work of 4 to 6 crew members. Not By Bread Alone was custom design done by Doug Peterson who also designed one or two finalist 12 meter yards in the Americas cup.

It was a fun exciting boat.
