Words cannot express how I feel. How we all do. I was up until 5 AM washing the bloodied jackets and removing blood stains. The car is still too much of a mess, even though I cleaned it as much as I could last night. But I am too exhausted. The kids are very traumatized, especially my youngest. They had to hold her organs by hand and so they won't drag on the floor.

Mika is under observation. The internal organs seem ok, though there is some bruising of the intestines. The main concern is parasitus (infection as a result of organ exposure to air). They've washed her internals and have put her on iv and antibiotics.

The big cost was the surgeon. They bill $5k per hour (includes the rest of surgical staff). The ICU and care was 2k. etc etc. She will need to remain under observation for a few nights. So the costs have not ended.

If she makes it to Monday or Tuesday, then we should be mostly ok.
