><>...Len, you are a refreshing kind of person. Not exactly sure yet
what makes you so refreshing, but you are...... I guess one might be able to say that Christianity is an extension of Judaism, but certainly not the Judaism that we know today.
Jesus, for all practical purposes was indeed born a Jew, however, He did not "practice" Judaism. He was sent by God to reveal the Kingdom of God, in a way that the Jews did not expect nor accept. He was in fact on many ocassions rebuked by the Jews for not paying heed to their "traditions".
Len, Christianity is a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Savior of the world. He came as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Because God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son and whosoever will believe in Him and His sacrifice will have eternal life......Jesus died for me, now I will live for Him....
True christians not only believe this, but they live according to the precepts of God. Knowing the word of God, from the word of God,and not what others say about the word of God, is paramount to following Jesus.
He meets us where we are, and with a contrite heart through Jesus, God hears all our prayers, and forgives us all our sins, and a person's life is never the same again! Never!.... This is the relationship we can have with God through Jesus.....and with Jesus...No relationship in the world can match it...His love is all consuming, always present, always powerful, always love....Always Jesus...
And I love Him because He first Loved me.....
Looking forward to hearing from you again,
Shalom...><> |
