You can see a chart of what Liam is referring to at coolhistory.com in the "Market Indices" section. FWIW, I've just added a "Market Internals" section to this free site. The new charts show the Advance-Decline line and TRIN (Arms) indicator for both the NYSE and the NASDAQ. They are designed to help you see the direction and strength of the market's current move. If you haven't visited the site before, you can also find charts of all of the market US equity indices as well as charts of the 8 major US economic sectors.
