BTW, Mika is 1.5 years old, so she has the youth working for her. That and the fact that we were present when the sutures unraveled. As as result she got immediate care and less exposure than otherwise. I've been told of cases where this happened when the owner was away and he comes home to see the dog walking around with her/his innards dragging on the floor for God knows how long.
