DOJ Responds to Andrew McCabe's Lawsuit and It's an Absolute Beatdown
Bonchie

3-4 minutes

With the influx of so much other news, it’s worth remembering that former acting FBI Dir. Andrew McCabe’s corrupt behavior is still being debated. He’s currently suing the DOJ for wrongful termination after he was fired for lying to the FBI. You can read the details of that here, including the fact that he outright admitted it on the record at the same time his department was ravaging Michael Flynn for the same thing.

It was also revealed this week that McCabe directly signed off on at least one of the fraudulent Carter Page warrants.

Now, the DOJ has responded to his lawsuit and it’s an absolute beatdown.

Undercover Huber, a large Twitter account that specializes in inside sources on these matters, has a great thread showing what all was said. He starts with a recap.

And here’s more of the details directly from the filing.

The Constitution versus McCabe’s lawyers whining they didn’t get enough time to explain why he shouldn’t be fired for lying repeatedly and leaking like a sieve for personal benefit? Constitution wins pic.twitter.com/Bms86U5t5Y

McCabe’s case is absolute garbage and he and his lawyers know it. He’s already admitted to doing what he was fired over on the official record and arguing on technical grounds (i.e. he was fired after 5pm) is not going to go over well in any court.

The idea that Trump was able to convince multiple career bureaucrats, who otherwise show no level of support for Trump (90+% of careerists in the federal government are Democrats), to all lie to get McCabe fired is ludicrous. It’s like a murderer claiming his cat made him do it. That’s not going to fly.

Worse for McCabe, he’s staring at a criminal indictment once this wrongful termination suit is dealt with. The DOJ has thus far held off on criminally charging him while it’s going on so as not to be accused of retaliation, but in the end, they may have to move ahead if he chooses to drag this farce out much longer. Once Durham’s findings drop then McCabe, according to sources I’ve heard, is going to be prosecuted.

The DOJ is currently asking for the civil suit to be dismissed and I think they may get their wish. Then it’s go time.
