16 Nov 2015 Lab-made coronavirus triggers debate

25 January 2020 Did China Steal Coronavirus From Canada And Weaponize It

Should note that the Zero Hedge "article" is pretty suspect... no doubt why they re-titled it with a headline put in the form of a question... It came from a pretty random source... and it offers no evidence... but seems to make a not unreasonable conjecture in taking that leap from the facts in the articles pointing out the, still relevant, FACT of Chinese espionage and Chinese theft(s?) of biomaterials.

I've not seen any other information or any evidence suggesting that China's agents had access to a similar corona virus in the Canadian lab... or that they stole a corona virus (like that created in North Carolina) from the Canadian labs...

But, it leaves you asking the obvious question... IF that had happened... would they (Canada) ever find it useful to tell us ?

The other obvious suggestion to make... given the aggregate of the information... is that IF China stole such a virus... or if they made one themselves while exploiting that access to information they'd been given... it seems they didn't do a very good job of containing it.

Other articles have pointed out that the Chinese virologists had a similar history with SARS... having allowed it to escape from labs where it was held in Beijing on at least four occasions...

My understanding is that they've (collectively) already mapped the full genome of the current threat... using materials collected in the field... and are working at using that information now in addressing the problem...

Given that, it probably won't take very long before we see an article or two addressing the genetic evidence that's out there now... pointing out any hint apparent in the code suggesting the current virus might have been engineered.

So, either it was a natural event...

Or, China made (or stole) the virus and then let it escape from a lab... ?

And the odds of China ever coming clean... if any of that's close to what happened ? Probably zero.
