Let's review the facts:

1. Maggie Haberman who wrote the article is now backstroking.

2. Trump, Mulvaney and Barr all deny it. Trump says he never had a conversation with Bolton about the matter at all.

3. Bolton's book is due out. Would NSC clear it if such a claim was in it? Does the NSC have power to determine executive privilege? It does not. So such a conversation is highly unlikely to be in the book.

4. The agent for the book, perhaps thru a cut out, leaked this POS to drive up the sales.

5. Maggie bit because it suits the Dems demand for his testimony.

6. Nothing in Bolton's career indicates he would do such a thing.

That's my hypothesis and until something better comes along, I'm sticking with it.
