Exactly. They say sometimes that stocks may be “priced for perfection” - meaning, even small disruptions may trigger a sell off. The same way, the modern world is so complex and so deeply integrated that a pandemic with a 1-2% mortality could be enough to disrupt the economy - and people’s lives - in a big, big way.
