d1, I have not read ANY threads. i m VERY much behind at work, i have brought home ton of work. Burning night oils. Actually, i m not done with work which I claimed I already done, cuz i was almost done and now some problems showed up so I need to finish that quickly as the new projects are already started and deadlines are very agressive. very hard to find people means hard on those that are there. i do most of research based on company's ability to bring in earning out in 98 and 99. As long as i know it will do well for next 18 months - 2yrs, it's a stock i buy and hold. intc, sunw, msft all great stocks. If i get 10-15% i m happy. that means intc = 85, sunw =49, msft 153 that would give me 10% from here. lot better then bonds lot more upside from here is possible. upside for the year sunw= 60 =33% intc = 100= 29% msft 160 = 15% if msft ends at 179 that would be 30% (these are not my targets, these are targets i have read from analysts, you know how much they know) ... fixed income : i have msftp, vlsih and i bot thru fido Capital invest trust = 8.25% still avail if u ask fixed income. i also bot fsaix as we had discussed. (air transport). other then that i m trading in my ira and ZERO trading in regular accounts. good luck. so don't read too much on threads as no one can ever know anything as who could account for Monica and Bill then price target for stocks? if i were Bill i would just resign and run away w. Monica. who needs that kind of a job anyway?
