The copper pipe leaks but the engineering side of this discussion is far worse than ATHM implies. They also don't get into other physics problems that you only learn about when you try to implement DSL in non-idealized environments. The DSL engineers know all this, but like university professors who disapprove of self-interest, they don't need to express a truth that might bite the hand that feeds. We went through all this last year, and frankly, it bores me. One either believes in this technology/company or not. I think I'm going to join the watchers, but I'm glad MSFT, CPQ, INTC are showing their panic. I'm sorely tempted to get out the old puts and wait patiently for the right shoulder to mature.
