Dear carl, OTOTOT

With all due respect, I have the following comments to offer.

Compared with the others, AMAT inherently carries a greater degree of risk by being capital-intensive (high fix cost etc.) and thus extremely sensitive to product cycles and economic downturns. I have always traded the AMAT commons and LEAPS--profitably in most cases--but have chosen to restrict my exposure to it because of the above.

My current favors are the leading wireless telcos, ATI and Lucent, just to name a few. suretrade.stkwtch.com

Regards,
Ibexx

PS: With AMAT, one has to modify the buy and hold strategy rather drastically.
