As January and Trump’s impeachment trial came to a close, bearish sentiment turned especially viral with biotechs not immune to the selling pressure. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 1.56% YTD (vs. up 3.49% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index (NBI) was down -3.79% YTD (vs. down -1.24% YTD a week ago), the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index (SPSIBI) was down -4.59% YTD (vs. down -2.80% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index (NCI), was up 1.44% YTD (vs. up 3.26% YTD a week ago). JBOG’s portfolio gave up quite a bit of ground but held on to first place with a 44.37% YTD gain. Also maintaining their rank were second place FILO’s portfolio, up 41.85% YTD, and third place OLIVIER’s portfolio, up 17.31% YTD.
