Stockman, Lucent has a large R&D component in wireless research and currently has a significant presence in wireless sector. The percentage figure, though relatively small compared with the company's extremely broad business endeavors, is nevertheless significant when placed in the context of the wireless sector. And wireless is the future. When I collect some updated numbers from reliable sources, I will post them if there is interest. Ibexx PS: You might want to get a copy of Lucent's annual report and read up on their wireless research and products in the pipeline.
