Interesting factoid.... the overall number of deaths in relation to confirmed cases is 2.28%

However, most cases and most deaths took place in the Hubei province, where it all started.

I added up the number of confirmed cases in 10 other provinces, following Hubei, down the Johns Hopkins list. There were 2901 cases - and only 4 deaths (as of last night). 0.14% mortality. Lower than in Hubei by a factor of 20.

I can’t think of any good explanation. Maybe, it’s because in Hubei they had many patients who got sick before they recognized it as something serious? Maybe, but it sounds like a stretch.
