I wish our social problems were as straight forward as your message attempted to discribe them. The we wouldn't have them anymore. I hardly think that dead-beat dads are the root of all evil. Maybe marriages are??? We are the only species that behaves this way!!
No wonder infidelity is so wide spread - it's normal!
Just a wild speculation the purpose of which is to illustrate my point that when it comes to morals, there is no absolute standard.
For all I know "latch-key" kids make better human beings.
Before you laugh, look back in history and see that by far most EVIL deeds on Earth have not been brought about by individuals but by societies at the epogy of their developments.
Which brings me to an old point - What's good for the individual must be good for society, but the reverse is not necessarily true.
