Hi Joe
Yep, A$$ is being kicked as we speak. I'm afraid I no longer work for Novell directly, as of Jan 19 I'm working for a small company that makes PCs called Dell (no I haven't meet Mr Marengi!!), looking after server sales..good points - there's no-one there that knows Novell software like I do, bad points - everyone starts work at 8:00AM, which I'm not used to but I'm getting there.
First customer meeting I had was with a waste disposal company that have 25 sites around the UK. I asked the IT manager what network they use (expecting to hear 'nt'). "NetWare 4.1, with ManageWise to control it, like's too short to try to roll out nt". Lovely. All of a sudden in Dell UK, NetWare sales are climbing due to the fact that someone knows how it works and where it fits. nt is there too, doing good business, but the awareness that NetWare is shipping today, doing what MSFT has been promising *since 1992* is rising.
Rod, if you bother to read my messages, sorry I was so hostile in my last message, I just get pretty sick of people that criticise constantly without any sort of positive input. We can all do it quite easily, especially when it's retrospective. God knows, I've got enough points to give Novell grief about after six and a half years with them, but it's not worth the bandwidth. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem - that's what I say.
Anyways, I'm still here, as I have been for some time, and now I can't be told to shut up by Novell!!! Scott, Adrian etc. keep in touch - peter.connolly@dial.pipex.com, I love to know what's going on....
Regards
