I took this off the MF and am copying it here for the usual informed commentary: "Subject: Re: Earnings From: minithree@aol.com (Mini three) Date: 24 Jan 1998 17:08:47 EST Interesting facts concerning HTCH vs. INVX. -Recently spoke with WDC and they told me straight out that they were going with TSA. -QNTM is going full out with TSA. -IBM is going TSA, given that they developed the technology and sold it to HTCH (Recent Forbes article). -I was told that SEG was making some negative comments about INVX's flex product. -The PC industry is slowing and at the same time the disk drive industry is in an overcapacity situation. -Outstanding profitability in an industry with razor thin margins. How long will this last? "INVX currently has solid profitability, however, if the industry goes with HTCH, which I believe is happening, why would you want to own INVX. Moreover, Wall-Street will look at the company's slowing growth rate and limited long-term prospects very negatively even with the company's excellent profitability." "Thoughts on these comments would be appreciated."
