when Borland says 50% of revenue comes from the Enterprise - What products are they talking about? - I think they are blowing smoke and adding in the Client/Server versions of Delphi and C++.

The following is from last week's announcement about the channel...

"...Borland now generates approximately 50 percent of its revenue from client/server and enterprise products."

And in the original zdnet article on Frontline Now, John Floisand was quoted as saying:

"Enterprise sales now account for half the company's revenue, up from around 10 percent a year ago."

Obviously, the above ("Enterprise" products and "Enterprise" sales) are not necessarily contradictory, but let's hope that Borland clearly understands the difference. After all, they have just made two significant initiatives based on these factoids.

There is a world of difference between saying you are targetting the "Enterprise", and actually putting in place achievable plans to do it. The first prerequisite is to be clear about your market.
