Thomas, although Schiff is talking out of his ass, as usual, I think it's worth highlighting what he actually said:
If abuse of power is not impeachable ... then a whole range of utterly unacceptable conduct in a president would now be beyond reach.
That's the key phrase here, but it's bullshit because no one is arguing that abuse of power is not impeachable. Not even Alan Dershowitz is arguing that, yet the left is going apeshit because they're misinterpreting what he said.

Abuse of power has to be determined by statute. That's what Dershowitz is arguing. He's not saying that abuse of power is not impeachable. He's saying that abuse of power cannot be arbitrarily determined by Congress.

Yet here is Schiff-for-brains running away with the misinterpretation, coming up with all sorts of wild-ass scenarios that could happen if abuse of power wasn't impeachable.

Giving Alaska to the Russians is clearly prohibited by statute, but don't tell Schiff that. His eyes might go even wider than they already are.
