I think the republicans are being a little quiet right now because they would hate to have the media go after their "dirt." There's an idea! Why don't we appoint yet another Special Prosecutor (hey, let's get real, let's call him an "Inquisitor") to investigate the sex lives of every legislator--no no, every federal employee and every relative and friend of every federal employee--going back twenty years? Make sense?
