It is a moot point, Bloomberg is going nowhere.

But to your point. First ,all they need to do is lift the cap on SS and it will be good for decades. And we don't need to cut back on SS we need to increase it.

AND, we need to make inroads into the income inequality and the hegemony of the Plutocrats. If we lift the cap, then the 1% will have to start paying their fair share of of taxes.

And it's about god damn time the rich started paying their fair share.

As well, and to the point you have made many times, with the robotization of the work force we need to start income redistribution---for the sake of our society.

Raising the cap on SS and having reasonable minimum wages is a very logical way to start making inroads in pulling millions out of abject poverty and rebuilding the middle class the fucking Republicans have destroyed over the past 50 years.
