Ibexx:

Well, I spent three hours looking around there 1.7 Gigabyte site. Looks like a hugh company with a lot going on. They are hiring people all the time and adding accounts all the time. The have strings of positive news, but when it comes to finding out how many shares outstanding the company has it is next to impossible. Some of the Investors financials can tell me how much they profited for the years of 1996 and before and also I know they reported a pre tax profit of $472 million in the first 9 months of 1997 and I also know that on Tuesday we are likely to find out what the year end 1997 is. But with just the amount in American Dollars that they profited I have no way of finding out the number of shares. I don't know the American PE. I need at least one more number to do the math.

I did figure out what and ADR (American Depository Receipts) stands for, but I don't know that number either. Otherwise I could take that times three and have an idea how many shares American's have, but it won't give me the whole companies numbers of shares.

If you go to Investments on their home page and then Performance you can get a sheet that is only as good as 1996 year end, but even looking at that I can't figure out what the American numbers would be.

Do you know the number of shares Outstanding?
