I love LED bulbs - they run so much cooler than incandescent and CFL and the daylight ones seem so much brighter.

One place I found they don't work (besides places that the links talk about)-

I have several ceiling fan/lights that use a remote.

When LED lights are used, possibly because their current draw is so much less,
the remote to turn the light on/off does not work (the light is always on).

With incandescent it works fine.

Another consideration is a room with a switched outlet - then you can get an LED light stick and all you need to put in a light is a screwdriver. The sticks are usually linkable so you can line a wall with them.

For example:

(it comes with cord with on/off switch and hardware for linking each unit)
