I couldn’t find how the Johns Hopkins site defines “recovered”. That makes it a misleading, confusing category on their web site. Meaningless at best. As I said, there are many possible definitions of “recovery”. They give none. They DO list as “deaths” those who have been tested, found to be positive - and later died. As for protocols... their medical resources are stretched - as per one article, medical personnel work 12 hour shifts with no bathroom breaks - because they’re each given only one biohazard suit per shift. Sick people wait for hours to be seen - and tested. It’s pretty bad. Docs and nurses from other parts of China are coming in to help, but doesn’t sound like they’re even close to having things under control.
