<<I don't believe I ever said Taiwan is losing money on SDRAM 16mb
chips...but it is possible they, as well as the rest of Asia, are not
making much with the SDRAM price hovering around the $4.00 to $4.50 asp
range. They are probably close to break even while MU production costs
are around $3.00 therefore making significantly more.>>

There you go again. This is the just the kind of of unsubstantiated baloney you always have to throw in. I know you have been asked this question by SB and others and I have never seen you answer directly. Your reply is usually long and convulted laced with a few personl attacks and avoids a direct answer. Please tell us how you have determined that the rest of the asian sdram producers have a production cost of $4.00-4.50 while mu cost are only $3.00. If the mu="lowest cost producer" is not a myth please show us how you have determined these numbers. Be specific. Because appelton says is not acceptable. I have searched and have not been able to find valid fact to support such a statement. If it is so I have missed it. I genuinely want to know if this in fact is true or even likely. RR
