Thanks again for your efforts.Part of the problem in trying to interpret data like this is that it is a snapshot in time. There are changes in price and yield through the year. Regardless, you have to use data rather than hopes and dreams, so this is very useful.

It is not worth much, but I still think it is unlikely that the pe drops into the low teens. We certainly have enough negative news to create a big pullback. As an AMAT investor, I am more uneasy that the general opinion on this board is that amat should have a superb run starting this summer. Why should we all be right this time, we didn't call the fall '96 turn, or the October '97 top? Yet there is compelling evedence to suggest that prices should begin a steady rise midway through the year.
