IMO Roku is great but it has one flaw....for those of us who have actually cut the cord and can do without the 1000 useless channels (plus taxes and sports taxes and fees) that we pay for be aware that if you go with a lower tiered data from your isp be careful. I noticed that when I turn off my TV it doesn't turn off the Roku. Just for kicks I decided to look into my internet usage for the last year and for the last 3 months it has increased and I only use my Roku for maybe 1-2 hours or less a day. The issue is when you click the off button it may turn off your TV but unless you actually back out of say Netflix the show will continue to stream. If your viewing a series it will go on for about 4 hours when the Roku will finally shut down. I did a test and it's true so I contacted Roku and they said the obvious to make sure you close out of the streaming program you are watching. Easy peesie if your aware but it's a flaw IMO and I asked them to address it because I opted for the 25MG internet from Xfinity which is enough to surf the internet and also to stream even though the Xfinity people said I would buffer. I have not buffered once but I also have limited internet data so I have to be careful. Just a word to the wise to those who cut the cord and have limited internet data. My bill went from $215 a month to $49. The local stations I want to use I subscribe to locast.org for $5 a month and it gives me 15 local stations.
