Since noone else is stepping up to the plate right now and I already got the mike I'll take the opportunity to fire off some wildly speculative ramblings. :) Hope that's ok with y'all.
First off I'd like to say a big thanx for the nice emails I got. You are all too kind. :) Keep it coming. I'm sure I'll get my share of lemons for sticking my neck out. Like I said to some who sent email: I hope my page can weed out some of the posts with I-can't-be-bothered-looking-this-up-please-tell-me type content. I want to see speculation, conjecture, mind games and other interesting stuff while waiting for the next newsrelease or time bomb or whatever. If for nothing else it will make great fodder for future editorials. :)
I've been thinking about the effect the 'dividend' had. What do you think about it from the following perspective? At first Eutro was a short time short-squeeze play, then the float practically doubled if not tripled due to the 50 mil (at least we think it did). Now Eutro is staging (has already staged) an effort to put the 50 mil to rest. While having shareholders waiting for info on the 50 mil issue Eutro proceeds with effecting an earlier promise and declares the 'dividend'. The spike and subsequest base building at a higher level (the float is in the 70-80 mil range I think, takes some semi serious bucks to move the stock with that baggage) shows IMO that a lot of money is just waiting for Eutro to make good moves (the company, not the stock). The dividend being a regular, non kataclysmic type event makes it a better marker to judge the stocks action once the present management gets the past under control. Anyway I'm rambling - so, the question I wanted to pose is: how much of the raise from .045 to .060 do you think is short covering and how much is new money?
Playing with numbers I see that 10,000 of Eutro stock at .06 is 600 bucks. That same 10K gives a 17 buck 'dividend'. That's a 2.8 percent handout. Not bad considering every little bit counts, but we're doing 15 to 20 percent swings daily here... Given the markets reaction I'd say that the real value in the dividend is 1) making life harder for shorters and 2) building confidence for Eutro. Any comments?
Also, there is this issue of Pluto. I don't understand why so many people would want to send the company into deep space? I think they're doing fine down here. Personally my position is that they should remain in Jupiter (in Florida, that is). I think it will prove the most un-disruptive for their daily work. After all their clients are brought public here, on Earth. Or could it be an AeroSpace related company that they have in the pipe? And I don't know about it?
Please remember I'm just playing mind games here. Sorry if i'm out of bounds, I'm bored. I think Eutro is doing great and I think they will keep on doing great in the future. |
