The Mrs and Coconut returned to HK w/o incident even as the CX Cape Town - HK flight was cancelled presumably due to lack of passengers.
Am instructed to de-camp wonderfully fantastic Hong Kong at the end of February for unfamiliar S Africa lasting one month.
Apparently the Mrs wandered into the local network enough to secure local lodging overlooking the water barrier that separates Hong Kong from Africa.
Arrangements have been made with the local but globally-known ballet school to make an exception for the daughter Coconut. The school also wishes that the Coconut (15) to teach her dance, “The Dream of the Red Chamber” Message 32450155 / and / Message 32461881 , to two local dancers (18 & 20, in the photos). The two dancers part of cohort Coconut worked with on their dance, and the nut also performed her own dance.
The Hong Kong branch of a large global charity had sent representatives along w/ its S African branch folks to observe the performance and is apparently satisfied that more efforts would be of merit.
Same same with some local and global corporates working in S Africa, and all wishing to engage w/ the continuing initiative.
The Coconut, after having connected the dots, has some work to do during extended stay.
The Jack and I are okay with being decorations and hang out at poolside doing home school per daily guidance from HK school, and speculate on TeoTwawKi. Jack shall also need to attend a local daily after-school gathering comprised of other kids.
Would say 2020 is not working out as originally planned; not that we had planned anything in particular. Now just going with the flow, exercising agility, and hopefully astutely okay under the rapidly evolving circumstances. Certainly trying best to make use of the dangerous opportunity.
Let us hope we can get on and then off the plane at the end of month and no hiccups intervene.
