Gee, you are a fast reader!!!

I am not on really firm ground here, because not everything is known, but Janet Reno and a specially convened panel of three federal judges targeted Clinton in a criminal probe--that is why Starr was able to add this to his investigation. Janet Reno has been accused before of protecting the president. I have to assume at this juncture that there was probable cause of felonies being committed by the president, or she would not have allowed the FBI and the wiretap in the hotel bar.

Unfortunately, this bandit was out in broad daylight without a disguise, robbing the bank on national television or something!!!!

I understand totally your concerns over a morally judgmental, vigilant populace encouraging a police state snooping into the private behavior of individuals, but I just don't see it happening here. I think we just disagree on the danger of the "slippery slope". I see it more as something this man has absolutely created for himself, that will not be repeated.

But Jim, let's say you are absolutely correct, that his privacy has been invaded. How do you think the crisis should be handled? Do you think he can effectively lead the country? What would the best solution be for America as a whole?
