Tony: The wash sale rules do make some sense, if you're willing to spend the time. I suggest you have a CPA look at your capital tranactions if you're not certain of the correct tax treatment. Many "wash sales" make no difference when a return is prepared. You could waste a lot of tax dollars by not knowing the rules. Best wishes, Bob Miller
