re short position:
go to yahoo message board and message #133 by "senensky" to see comment by company CEO. This is consistent with the company's public statement to myself as well as other investors. I would suggest calling IR department to have this issue clarified for yourself!

re TSE vs VSE:
Although "any serious Canadian player" would know VSE as well as TSE-traded stock, there is still an enhancement in visibility among the general Canadian investor when a stock is traded on TSE, in my opinion. A move to TSE from VSE could only help in this regard.

re news:
at the end of the day, the only thing that will support a stock price is revenue/earning growth. The company has publicly stated its revenue estimates for the next 2 years, reflecting impressive growth for a young company. Nhmcf has also acquired other companies in an effort to broaden its base, which will have an effect on overall profitability in the short term. In the long run, however, these acquisitions should help to establish it among the bigger players. To long term investors (not traders, stock flippers, etc.) news reflect the company growth and underlying fundamentals, ultimately resulting in higher revenues/earnings.
Given the current weakness in nhmcf share price (however, the overall market, particularly many tech stocks and small/medium caps, has not done too well recently either) , it is only natural for long term investors to wait for news that would reflect the underlying fundamentals and eventually result in a rise in stock price. Concrete news are important precisely because we are wary of empty "hype".

One more thing- if the company's own estimated revenues are met over the next 1-2 years (which is the time horizon long term investors should have) don't you think the stock price would eventually reflect this growth?
