While Trump keeps his idiot bubble-heads frothing at the mouth about imported autos, there's an important reason he doesn't and cant' actually do anything in terms of auto tariffs. The Chevy Corvette is 66% American or Canadian, with the balance imported. The Mercedes C-class is 70% from the United States or Canada, as are the Honda Civic, Acura MDX, and Acura. A big import tariff on foreign imports will hurt US automakers more than EU automakers.
