I2, "I believe that there is a relationship between risk, interest rates, and inflation." I agree with you completely - I was trying to say (not very well base on your response) that I think the average investor is assessing the risk as being extremely low or even non-existent since they are willing to get the same interest rate of return on long term as short term debt securities.
