I felt that stocks were in a topping process for the last year and a half, but this recent spike upward makes me think that the next bear market will be much worse than I had been anticipating. I suspect we are pretty close to a major top in days, weeks, or months. Spreads between bid and ask have been increasing, so there may be a lot of stocks without bids once the downside gets rolling. A liquidity crisis may be a component of the next downturn.
