Yes, she mentioned multiple health problems, diabetes as I recall. She became slightly unhinged during Katrina, though she was safe in Northern Virginia. Understandable, a lot of folks became unhinged. She enjoyed provoking controversy, with sometimes good results. I don’t really think she believed that satellites had wings so that they could stay aloft. A sly joke on her part. Funny. She and epicure were early friends, then bitter enemies, as is often the case with epicure. She was much too young to die.
