Very interesting. Particularly the bit about interposer size and reach. I am curious whether AMD has overcome this with "Milan". Remember this blog post last autumn from TSMC's Godfrey Cheng? Curiously, the 8 small chiplets on the chip he mentions in that article are 75 mm² each, the same size as the Zen 2 CCD. So it looks like 8 CCDs on an interposer is now within grasp. tsmc.com
