Hi Kimberly

Thanks for the kind words. The world situation is kind of a mess in several aspects but it is mainly the Coronavirus causing this downturn.

It seems to be breaking out in several hotspots now. The CDC seems to be throwing in the towel as far as containment in the USA is concerned. I see a lot of internet posters saying the problem with this virus in China is because of their poor healthcare....they will talk out of the other side of their mouth when similar problems develop in North America. You only have to look at South Korea, Italy and Iran to see how fast this disease can spread.

I think the market is due for a 2008-2009 correction. Back then I just rode it out without selling any stocks. I lost a lot of paper money back then and recovered afterward but I never regained my position before the drop.
This year I am selling early through the Limit Stop-loss orders so I will retain most of my gains and jump in when things finally turn around.

The difference between selling early versus late is that once you sell you lose real money rather than paper money. Selling earlier allows you to retain more real money.

Heaven help us if this disease morphs into something more deadly and/or becomes more easily spread.

I might go out and see if I can find N95 masks. we have several "saftey" companies in the city I once worked for one of them a long time ago in the 1980-90's. So I know what I am looking for.

Anyway, things are pretty safe in Canada right now. we have about 11 cases split between British Columbia and Ontario...pretty tame so far.
