Vermilion Energy (VET-T) Bad News Bears for the share price.

Analyst Warns on Vermillion's Dividend

I’m hard-pressed to think of a stock that generates more interest because of its dividend than Vermilion Energy (at last look, the yield was sitting at 16 per cent). So take note of this: today, Veritas Analyst Jeffrey Craig told clients the Calgary-based oil and gas producer “will be unable to fund it annual dividend from cash flow in the current commodity price environment.” Craig reckons Vermilion will need to slash its annual payout in half to $1.44 share, and he’s downgrading the stock to a Sell. Watch for more on this throughout the day on BNN.ca
