A protest like this is really a waste of time. Our pols will never do anything about it. As long as we control the world's money supply we may get away with it. We now owe our annual income. When I bought my first house in 1960 I then owed three times my annual income.
When you bought your house, you did it with an intention to pay it off. You took a risk - if you lost your ability to pay, you’d suffer a bad setback. You were “house poor” - and had to watch your spending priorities.

The politician’s priority is - to spend more. Choose where to spread it thicker. Get re-elected.

Our control of world money supply ultimately depends on the willingness of foreign bankers and other holders to own dollars. If they feel the dollar isn’t safe, they’ll switch to other currencies to use as their reserves. Our Pols, by discrediting and eroding the stability of our system, probably do more harm to the Dollar than all our foreign adversaries combined.
