That's useful and encouraging as you say. . The age and health of passengers almost certainly boost virulence there, but the ship is a useful case study because it was a closed population.

Another caveat: deaths lag diagnosis, there could well be more deaths among the latest new cases. It would be useful to divide deaths by known cases a week or two earlier, which would give a higher estimated mortality rate.
