Toward the end of this discussion it appears Carlson expects that things are picking up pace. "By the time this gets posted several week from now, who knows where we're going to be." This was before the pandemic thing, which is not particularly in his wheelhouse so it's all the other stuff he's referring to. He's starting to turn his attention to the Sun and "micronova" possibilities in close temporal proximity to terrestrial impact events. When it's "Rush Hour" for our drive through the galaxy and there's all sorts of different traffic.
